Here is a list of twelve Freeware and Shareware applications that you may not know about. One thing I really like about Apple and Apple users is the staggering amount of software that is free for us.

Check out the list, let me know what you think and feel free to add links to some of your favorites in the comments.

AllBookmarks:Really good if you use multible browsers and want all your bookmarks available from each.

iPhoto2Twitter :D oes just what it says, post pictures from iPhoto to your twitter account

Glims:From the download page: Adds a cocktail of features to Safari (Tabs, Thumbnails, Full Screen, Search Engines, Search Suggestions, Forms autocomplete on, Dated download folders, Type Ahead …)

MarsEdit: This is what I use almost exclusively to post with. I have ecto but find it clunky and difficult. For me the only thing I like about Ecto is all my tags are in a list right in the editor. Helps to keep my blog consistent.

Cyberduck: Freeware FTP client, works great and I have never had trouble with it.

FlickrExport for iPhoto: I use this alot, it allows me to upload my photos directly to flicker from within iPhoto.

Camino: It is the other little known browser, I use safari mostly but sometimes I will jump on camino if Safari is acting up. I don’t like firefox.

Mumble :D escription from the Download page, I have not tried this but if your in a guild that uses MACS and don’t like Vent, Teamspeek or the in game voice this might work for you: A low-latency, high-quality voice communications tool primarily intended for use while gaming. It is open source, licensed under the revised BSD license, and runs on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.

Mumble includes game linking, so voice from other players comes from the direction of their in-game location, and has echo cancellation so the sound from your loudspeakers won’t be audible to other players.

FlickrBooth: This is a fun little application that allows you to upload pictures taken with photo booth directly to flicker

NetNewsWire: This is the top of the line newsreader for the MAC, if your not using it you really should be.

ecto: The other Weblog editor, Not as good as Marsedit in my opinion but it has it strong points as well

iPhoto to Picasa Web Albums: I like Flickr better than Picassa but if you don’t this is for you
